Self-defense classes in longueuil

Self-Defense for Children Ages 7 to 12

Our self-defense program is integrated into the taekwondo/karate classes.

During their Taekwondo-Karate classes, children will learn basic self-defense techniques. They will also learn how to react to different situations and recognize the signs of bullying.

In addition, children will develop their self-confidence and awareness. They will also learn how to respond appropriately when faced with a difficult situation.

Finally, they will learn to recognize potentially dangerous situations. They will also learn to set boundaries and use their voice to stand up for themselves.

The goal is to provide them with simple, practical tools to promote their safety while encouraging respect, self-control, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Self-Defense for Adults (Ages 13 and Up)

Our self-defense program is integrated into the taekwondo/karate classes.

During their Taekwondo-Karate classes, adults will learn basic self-defense techniques, how to react to different situations, and how to recognize potentially dangerous situations.

In addition to learning unarmed self-defense techniques, students will practice defending themselves against different types of attacks, including situations involving weapons. They will also learn basic techniques for disarming an attacker and responding appropriately in a threatening situation.

Students develop self-confidence, awareness, and the ability to remain calm and react appropriately under pressure. They learn to identify potential risks, establish personal boundaries, and use their voice and body language to assert themselves and de-escalate situations.

The goal is to provide practical tools to improve personal safety while promoting confidence, self-control, awareness, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Board Breaking Seminar

Twice a year, in December and May,

we organize a board-breaking clinic for all students ages 5 and up. This complementary activity allows students to apply some of the techniques they practice in their regular training in a different setting.

Board breaking is an important skill in Taekwondo-Karate training.

It helps develop power, precision, focus, coordination, and control of movement. These qualities are also important in self-defense, where controlling your movements and being able to react effectively are essential.

Students learn to strike with precision and control while developing self-confidence and the ability to control their strength.

All techniques are taught safely by Pierre Scanzano and our black belt instructors.
